New at RSI: PicoScan and Pico-PRO
PicoScan is a compact, easy to use, practical, affordable 'gadget like' 3D scanner that produces high quality 3D data.
A standard Canon DSLR camera combined with a Pico projector mounted on the hot shoe, is controlled by the Mephisto 3D scan engine. Very simple setup and few clicks is all what it takes to produce outstanding 3D scans.
While PicoScan might look like a cute toy, it is still a highly capable 3D scanner, based on a very powerful 3D scanning engine. There is no compromise here in quality or accuracy. Pico scan can handle very difficult and very detailed surfaces, reconstructing perfectly detailed surfaces and textures. Even in unskilled hands PicoScan could rival any competition.
And even when not used as 3D scanner, it is useful - Canon DSLR could be used so many occasions in your studio, at home or even holidays - after all it is one of the best digital cameras. The same is true for Pico projector- it could be powered by battery, carried in a pocket and used for presentations or to show your work in progress or even to watch your favorite movie on your hotel room sealing.
Pico-PRO 3D scanner
Pico-PRO is a compact, easy to use, practical, affordable 'gadget like' 3D scanner that produces high quality 3D data, with its capture time of 0,24 seconds it is capable of scanning Faces, hands or feet at reasonable resolution enough for printing or overall measurement.
This 3d scanner uses a USB 2 camera combined with a LED projector mounted on a small tripod, it is controlled by the Mephisto 3D scan engine. A very simple setup and a few clicks is all what it takes to produce outstanding 3D scans.
Highly capable 3D scanner
While the Pico-PRO might look like a cute toy, it is still a highly capable 3D scanner, based on a very powerful 3D scanning engine. There is no compromise here in speed or accuracy. The Pico-PRO can handle fast scanning of face and body parts incl (facial) hair and textures. Even in unskilled hands the Pico-PRO could rival any competition.

And even when not used as a 3D scanner, it is still useful. The projector- it can be used for presentations; to show your work in progress or even to watch your favorite movie on your hotel room ceiling.

The loading time for the 3D-model depends on the speed of your Internet connection. If the model moves liquidly, depends on your computer speed.
For a more liquid representation the number of the surfaces of some models was reduced.
Hold the left mouse button pressed and move the mouse around to change the perspective. With the mouse wheel (or the right mouse button) you can zoom the model.
Over the model you can find a 3D menu with more options, for example for the measurement.
For the display of the upper files Adobe ® reader ® 8.1 or higher is necessary.
